We consider ourselves to be in a partnership with our parents, providing them with the best, most up to date information regarding the health care of their child or young adult. During their visit, we will provide them with our years of experience, written information, policy statements from our academy, and refer them to reputable web sites when indicated. We recognize the parent is the primary advocate for their child. As such, we recognize that the final decision in a child's care rests with their parent. We see ourselves as an educator and a guide.
We believe in excellence in customer service. We recognize that time is valuable. We continue to work to streamline our processes to make every visit to our office seamless and efficient. Our staff has regular instruction in customer service and work as a team to bring our parents excellent service.
We believe in the need for and the safety of immunizations. With the recent outbreaks in California with measles and pertussis, and the continued morbidity and mortality related to influenza, we have doubled our efforts to make sure that our patients are properly immunized. We also have an office policy whereby we do not accept children whose parents have refused to vaccinate them with the routine childhood immunizations. This helps protect our patients against inadvertent exposure to vaccine preventable diseases.
We believe in educating our patients regarding topics in the media. Some issues in the recent past have included the ebola outbreak in West Africa and the Zika virus in the Americas. Other issues include the rising rates of childhood obesity and the benefits of breastfeeding. We provide this education in a variety of ways. We offer in house consultations with our lactation specialists to promote breast feeding and an in house health living class for children struggling to maintain a healthy weight. We are now a drop off site for Great Country Farms for fresh vegetables. Join us by clicking on the link to share in our healthy living. We also address these topics on our Facebook page. Please take the opportunity to become a "friend" on Facebook.
We believe in technology. Our EMR allows us to electronically send prescriptions and obtain medical records from the local hospitals. This allows for a seamless coordination of care between us and the other members of your child's healthcare team.
We believe in answering all of your concerns regarding your bill and will return any of your calls regarding this promptly.
We believe in your privacy and take HIPAA regulations regarding privacy seriously in our office.
In all aspects of our care, we encourage a team approach to ensure your best possible experience in our office. We encourage your comments and suggestions for improvement. We look forward to your first visit. Please call and schedule a complimentary Meet and Greet visit if you are considering joining our practice.
