Our Philosophy

We consider ourselves to be in a partnership with parents in providing them with the best, most up to date information regarding the health care of their new baby. We will provide our parents with our years of experience, written information, policy statements from our academy and refer them to reputable web sites when indicated. We recognize the parent is the primary advocate for their child. As such, we recognize that the final decision in a child's care rests with their parent. We see ourselves an educator and a guide.

We believe in excellence in customer service. We recognize that time is valuable. We continue to work to streamline our processes to make every visit to our office seamless and efficient. Our staff has regular instruction in customer service and work as a team to bring our parents excellent service.

We believe in education. All our nurses and physicians maintain CPR certification. We have ongoing educational programs for our nursing and physician staff both inside and outside the office. They all meet or exceed the educational requirements for their licenses as required by their agencies. We also believe strongly in the education of our parents. We take every opportunity to provide our parents with the latest research and policy recommendations by our academy.

We believe in the need for and the safety of immunizations. With the recent outbreaks in HIB disease and measles and pertussis, and the continued morbidity and mortality related to influenza, we have doubled our efforts to make sure that our patients are properly immunized.

We believe in bringing all current topics in the media into our office, educating our staff regarding these issues, and then disseminating this information to our parents. Some issues in the recent past have included salmonella in peanut butter, toys with lead based paint from China, MRSA in our local schools, the outbreak of pertussis , etc. We do this in a variety of ways. We will post these topics in our waiting rooms and exam rooms for our physicians to discuss with our parents during their visit. We will also discuss topics in the media with the triage nurse so that as our parents hear of an issue in the media and call our office regarding it, the nurse will be prepared to discuss the topic and give any advise regarding the topic as it relates to a particular child.

We believe in technology. We have computerized medical records as advised by our new presidential staff. We believe in the added layer of safety and efficiency that this will bring to our medical system.

We believe in answering all of your concerns regarding your bill and will return any of your calls regarding this promptly.

We believe in your privacy and take HIPA regulations regarding privacy seriously in our office.
