Christina Kalisz, FNP

Christina KaliszChristina Kalisz was born and raised in the Mid-Michigan area.  She attended Michigan State University and received her BSN in nursing in 1995.  She practiced in various aspects of nursing including intensive care, medical-surgical, homecare and managed care for over 14 years.  She graduated from the University of Michigan with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2001 and has been practicing in family practice and pediatrics for over 10 years.  She and her husband relocated to Northern Virginia for his work with the federal government two years ago from Michigan.  Christina is finishing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Case Western Reserve University this Fall.  Her doctoral research and professional interests include pediatric obesity and adolescent health risk behaviors.  She is the mother of one grown daughter and one very new granddaughter.  Christina’s hobbies and interests include gardening, powerwalking, cooking, and she is a Kennedy history buff.  She and her husband also enjoy antiquing and traveling.
